In some of the farthest reaches of Oklahoma, people can't receive the signal for metro commercial television stations, but they can tune in to OETA, the state's public television network.
State funding for OETA has helped make that possible, with 14 translator stations taking the network to places like Beaver and Idabel, where OETA's daily Oklahoma News Report may be the only state TV news that people can watch.

The Floor Trader carpet company is airing on local television stations a commercial in which a man standing on a truck is knocked off when it goes under an overpass. The commercial is in extremely poor taste.
