COLUMBUS -- Gov. John Kasich's plan to privatize Ohio's economic development effort by creating a nonprofit corporation run by a nine- member board easily passed the Ohio House on Tuesday. Members debated for two and a half hours before "JobsOhio" won approval.

COLUMBUS -- James Leftwich will step down Aug. 1 as director of the Ohio Department of Development, ending the Dayton-area's direct connection to the state's job creation efforts.
