A Howard County man was found dead in his home Tuesday night with two gunshot wounds to the head, the county sheriff said, in what appears to be a homicide.
Sheriff Charlie Polson said the body of Jonathan Spurling, 39, was found by his father after Spurling did not report for work at a construction company in Columbia. Polson said Spurling had been staying in the house, which is located near Harrisburg, while working to refurbish it.
