  • College of Wooster report he College of Wooster men's soccer team put forth a historic effort on Saturday afternoon, as the Fighting Scots overwhelmed the College of Mount St. Joseph 9-0 as part of the Marietta Soccer Classic in Marietta. The nine goals marked the most for the program since Oct. 4 1986, when Wooster drilled Benedictine (Ill.)   • Jane D. Deckop, of Buffalo, a retired teacher, died Wednesday in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a brief illness. She was 92. Born Jane Drew in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and Buffalo State Teachers College. During World War II, she worked as a secretary at Curtiss-Wright.

  • College News Services Looking for a 2-0 start for the third straight season, the College of Wooster got four goals from sophomore Alex Mies, and the Fighting Scots rolled to an 11-1 victory Wednesday evening at the College of Mount St. Joseph during non-conference men's lacrosse action.

  • DAYTON -- A brood of cicadas, those loud, red-eyed bugs that infested the Dayton area four years ago, will soon emerge in the Cincinnati area.
