The (SMC) is a collaborative project providing access to multiple digital sheet music collections through a single database and search engine. The second program, the OAI compliant data harvester used by the SMC to request the XML files, was created using the Java programming language at UCLA. The SMC compiles the files in an Oracle database, which is accessible via a search engine also programmed by UCLA in Java.

Debra Bailey, chief financial officer for the Oklahoma Restaurant Association, said the event is less about making sales than about making contacts for future business. Restaurant personnel are feeling good again about full dining rooms and customers willing to spend money, she said, evidenced by the nearly 8-percent increase in sales tax collections last year over the previous year.
