LEONARD COHEN: I'M YOUR MAN **** Part concert film and part biography, director Lian Lunson's Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man is a moving tribute to this legendary artist's life and career. Moreover, the film salutes four decades of Cohen's songwrlting output a strategy that happily steers the movie toward an appreciation of the 71-year-old Cohen's musical legacy rather the kind of dutiful hagiography that clouds so many other artist portraits. The concert recorded for the film took place in January 2005 in Sydney, Australia. Shrewdly, the film showcases only portions of the show, while inter-cutting footage of the director's conversations with Cohen reflecting on his career. Rated PG-13. At the Osio Cinemas. MB

The board of Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division voted Thursday to delay a decision on shifting $32 million in pension funds from bonds into a class of securities known as preferred equities.
MLGW chief financial officer John McCullough said the move would let the utility take advantage of high returns on this type of investment, and that the utility would exit if interest rate changes made the investment less appealing.
