Charleston native Elizabeth Haddad no longer has to ask for sips of her moms coffee as she did when she was 7 and curious about the mysterious brew. Now 24 and living in New York, she can savor a delicious cup any time she wishes. And though Haddad says she usually sticks to about three cups a day, coffee is her passion and she hopes it soon will be her lifes work. A cleaning crew worker has been arrested in connection with at least five burglaries at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf stores, where someone slipped inside at night to snatch up employees' tip money, Hermosa Beach police said Monday.
Armando Esquivel-Nava, 21, of Bell Gardens was arrested Thursday when he aroused the suspicions of a police officer and was found with keys to Coffee Bean stores, a Coffee Bean shirt and apron, and burglary tools, Hermosa Beach police Sgt. Paul Wolcott said.
