AUSTELL, Ga. - Police in Georgia are searching for a woman and her newborn baby, both of whom have not been seen since Saturday afternoon. Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Sunday that 27-year-old Holly Daenette Parker-Heard and the infant were last seen at the Austell Inn and Suites.
ATLANTA - A metro Atlanta nurse anesthetist has been charged with molesting and sodomizing anesthetized patients in dental and medical offices, and police say the videotaped abuses could involve 100 or more victims. Paul Patrick Serdula, 47, who worked in dental and medical offices across metro Atlanta, was arrested Monday night on child molestation and sodomy charges. The arrest came after authorities found several videos showing him fondling and groping patients who were under anesthesia at various offices, said Cobb County police officer Joe Hernandez.

The lone gunman fled the scene in a pickup and was arrested after police stopped him about a mile from the Penske Truck Rental facility, said Cobb County Police Officer Joe Hernandez. The names of the suspect and victims were not immediately released.

XENIA -- Police in Cobb County, Ga., have arrested a former Greene County man police said was an integral part of a drug ring that brought cocaine and marijuana into Yellow Springs for distribution. Robert F. McDonald, 27, was arrested Monday, May 18, at a home in Kennesaw, about 30 minutes northwest of Atlanta. Prosecutors believe he helped Umoja Iddi Bakari transport cocaine and marijuana from Columbus to be sold in Yellow Springs.
