The Indian Mil Mi-24s in the eastern DRC, for instance, have provided valuable close air support for the troops operating against militias and rebels, and the Nigerian Air Force used its Alpha Jet ground attack aircraft to support the ground forces during the initial operations to stabilize Liberia and Sierra Leone.
