After WWII, he spent most of his career (31 years) as a claims adjuster for MCI a branch of General Motors. He was a resident of Augusta since 1964. After retirement Mr. Hollowell volunteered for Meals On Wheels, was a member of The United Methodist Men's Club and the Interfaith Hospitality Network. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, where he held a number of various offices across the years and the Jane Wells Sunday School Class.
