Trial court did not err in dismissing complaint against the City of Kettering Police Department and the City of Kettering Prosecutors office; these are not entities that are capable of being sued (sui juris). Trial court did not err in dismissing complaint against the City of Kettering and the Kettering City Prosecutor; they are both immune from suit under R.C. 2744.02, and none of the exceptions to the immunity granted in that statute were alleged. Trial court did not err in dismissing claims for fraud; fraud was not pled with the particularity required by Civ. R. 9(B). Affirmed.

Whatever needs to be done in and around the city of Kettering and its government, Larry Schlea and John McClelland will do it," said Bonnie Pittle, volunteer resources manager for the city. "Each man has more than 8,000 hours of volunteering and were honored at our volunteer banquet in early November.

KETTERING -- When senior citizens surrender their drivers' licenses due to age or disability, the loss can make it difficult for them to take care of essential needs such as grocery shopping and going to doctors' appointments, while decreasing opportunities for another essential need -- social interaction.
The city of Kettering, in a project championed by councilwoman Peggy Lehner, is working to create a model transportation system for its senior citizens, to ensure that they can meet their life- essential -- and life-enhancing -- needs.

Kettering and Oakwood city officials are very involved in the statewide debate about repealing Ohio's estate tax, attending regional meetings and writing to state legislators.
House Bill 3 calls for complete repeal of the Ohio estate tax. Ohio, one of 16 states with its own estate tax, requires taxable estates larger than $338,333 to pay 6-7 percent tax on the amount over that level, with 80 percent of the tax going to the city where the deceased person lived.

KETTERING -- Virginia "Jean" Schulke, who served as Kettering's clerk of council, retired Sunday after working for the city of Kettering for 26 years.
Kettering City Council recognized Schulke's service with a Resolution of Appreciation at its April 26 meeting.

KETTERING -- Kettering Mayor Marilou Smith called Kettering a "special" community in her annual State of the City address, given at the Jan. 25 Kettering City Council meeting.
For the past several years, the city has achieved some very positive milestones in economic development," Smith said. "As our community ages, decisions have to be made regarding how to keep the city as vibrant as you residents who live and work here.

KETTERING -- Fifteen months after about 70 city of Kettering employees scattered to three different sites, the renovation of the city's Shroyer Road Government Center south building is complete, and workers are back in place.
On April 13, the city manager, city council and law department offices were the last three to move back, with crews unloading trucks and bringing in boxes, while employees tried to get computers running and key files in place.
