Jobless rates drop in 76 of 77 countiesUnemployment rates declined in 76 of Oklahoma's 77 counties in August from July, according to a report released Wednesday by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.Sequoyah County was the only county in the state with an increase in unemployment in August from July. Sequoyah County's jobless rate for the month was 9.3 percent, up from 9.1 percent in July.August's 9.3-percent unemployment rate in Sequoyah County was the highest jobless rate for any of the 77 counties for the month. Claremore-based RCB Bank soon will expand into two more cities with the acquisition of Pioneer Bank & Trust of Ponca City and the Bank of Nichols Hills in Oklahoma City, bank representatives recently announced.
Financial details of the deal, through parent companies RCB Holding Co. and Pioneer Bancshares Inc., were not immediately available. The combined Pioneer banks have assets of about $310 million, which will bring RCB's total assets up to more than $1 billion.

Nine women will be inducted into the Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame at 4 p.m. March 29 at the state Capitol.
The hall was established in 1982 by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women. The inductees are Sherri Coale, Norman; Ginny Creveling, Tulsa; Joe Anna Hibler, Weatherford; Maxine Horner, Tulsa; Kay Martin, Oklahoma City; Terry Neese, Oklahoma City; Carolyn Taylor, Claremore; and Della Warrior, Red Rock and Santa Fe, N.M. Claudia Tarrington of Tulsa will be inducted posthumously.
