PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - A 26-year-old Prairie du Chien man who confessed Sunday to murdering a Prairie du Chien woman is being held on a $250,000 cash bond in Crawford County Jail. At a bond hearing on Monday afternoon in Crawford County Circuit Court, Michael Burroughs appeared via videoconferencing from his jail cell before Court Commissioner Lynn Rider. Burroughs faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide in the case of Shannon Lynn Fischer, 23, who has been missing for almost four years.
