It's been years since I've been to Chuck E. Cheese's for children's parties. There was a time when my children were small that the rock 'n' roll played there was the closest I got to a concert. Those were the days. Reminiscing, I stopped by the one on Portsmouth Boulevard to see how much things might have changed since then. Anthony Taylor, 6, of Korea and Kylie McClain, 4, of Newport News were celebrating birthdays with family and friends. Chuck was present to make things lively, and employee Christian Hairston, a Western Branch High student, helped ensure the party games and pizza went over well.
