WHITTIER - He was part of the famed Doomsday Defense of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1970s - but on Thursday, former linebacker D.D. Lewis was at Whittier Christian's Maybrook Elementary School to tackle a far different subject: fertilizer. When Lewis, 65, retired from the Cowboys in 1981, his alcoholism caused him to hit rock-bottom, he said.
