News Advisory: Professor Chris Woodruff of the University of California at San Diego will present new research examining the self-employment experience of immigrants. The study will specifically address the question of why rates of self-employment among Mexican- Americans lag behind rates for non-Latino whites. Professor Woodruff concludes that assets and education, in particular, contribute substantially to the gaps in entrepreneurship among Mexican-Americans. Produced by a small production company based out of Wilson, Wyoming, Sanctified is billed as "a ski film about backcountry preservation." KGB Productions released the film in November, and they have been touring it around the country ever since.
