Lyric Theatre opened its summer season with Hairspray, which was a big hit with the audiences. Next up is Ragtime, also a Tony Award- winning musical based on E.L. Doctorow's distinguished novel about three American families in New York. The show will open in Civic Center Music Hall on July 19 and play through July 23.

DALTON -- George and Margaret (Gray) Amstutz of Greenbriar Lane, Dalton, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15. They were married in 1951 at Orrville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church by the Rev. Delbert Lindsey.
They are the parents of Mike (Karen) of Apple Creek, Dawn (Mike) Wagner of Orrville and Gary (Pam) of Chita, Siberia, Russia. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
