LOMA LINDA - It's Children's Book Week from Nov. 11 to Nov. 18 at the Loma Linda Branch Library.
The event aims to get young kids reading, by offering raffle tickets in exchange for completing reading related activities. For children 12 and younger, checking out five books from the library automatically enters them into the drawing.

Library to host art exhibit, Father's Day activities
The 40th International Children's Art Exhibit will take place Wednesday from 9a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hacienda Heights Library, 16010 La Monde St.

BANGOR - Summer reading will continue at the public library with the international theme "Around the World in 49 Days.
Mondays are craft days, and at 10 a.m. July 7, a European craft will be featured.

WEST PARIS -- The fourth annual Let Your Light Shine memorial fundraiser is underway at the West Paris Public Library. The Friends of the Library are sponsoring the bedecking of the library with sparkling white lights to honor those who have a special place in our hearts and lives. There will be a lighting party at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. The library's memorial lights will be turned on for the first time this season, and refreshments will be served. Area residents and visitors alike are invited to join in the fun.

Kanawha County Public Library needs volunteers to stage its 13th Street Fair, held annually during the last weekend of FestivALL at the Main Library in Charleston.
Tasks include: setup, cleanup, overseeing children's activities and selling items in the used book sale. People who volunteer to help with setup and cleanup should be capable of lifting heavy objects.
