  • HOULTON A Millinocket author who has written a collection of tales centered on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway will see one of his books adapted into a play for the first time this weekend. The Houlton Star Bright Childrens Theatre will present its annual production of An Allagash Haunting, written by author Tim Caverly, on April 29 and 30, at the Houlton High School auditorium and again on May 7, at Stearns High School in Millinocket.

  • Hark, angelic voices will be heard Sunday singing Christmas songs. The Kansas Youth Chorale will open its sophomore season with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 817 S.W. Harrison.   • An African Cinderella story is this summer's featured production by the Taos Children's Theatre.
