Employment opportunities to be presented at the fair range from part-time seasonal help to full-time positions with local companies.

If you've been thinking your Gazette or Daily Mail has grown more colorful lately, chalk one up for your powers of observation.
Since October, Charleston's two daily papers and the Sunday Gazette-Mail have had the ability to print just about every page of every paper in full color. That's a far cry from a decade or two ago, when color photos, graphics and ads were a rarity.

Lawyers representing the Daily Gazette Co. and MediaNews have long disputed the Justice Department's claims, saying there is no way the newspapers can be violating antitrust laws because the joint operating agreement essentially forced the two newspapers to operate as one business by sharing expenses and profits since the 1950s.

Whittington, 14, and a freshman at Poca High School, has donated more than 400 coats to the Charleston Newspapers Food and Coat Drive during the past three years.
