PORTSMOUTH - Charles Porter McMillion, 87, passed away April 25, 2007. He was a native of Williamsburg, W.Va., and was the son of the late Sidney and Pearl McMillion. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a wife of almost 60 years, Catherine Lee Blake McMillion; one daughter, Emma M. James and husband John of Smithfield; two sons, Philip M. McMillion and wife Jan of Cary, N.C., and Charles E. McMillion and wife Rebecca of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

With a trio of credit card thieves on the loose in the area, police are reminding motorists to use common sense and be vigilant when they shop.
Charleston Sgt. Bobby Eggleton said Wednesday that police had identified the alleged thieves as Angela Nichols, 32, of Clendenin; Charles Burns, 43, of Winfield; and Roy McMillion, 79, of Elkview.
