Jeff Halper, an American-born Israeli Jew, spoke at a Canadian Senate meeting room on January 19, giving his perspective on Israel and Palestine. He was the only Israeli who participated in breaking the Gaza naval blockade by sailing with supplies into the territory. He is on a Canadian speaking tour. Halper, the coordinator of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, told the gathering that since 1967 Israel has demolished 25,000 Palestinian homes.
