Doris Koepke was an avid lover of nature and wildlife. "About 10 years ago, I was visiting with my mother," said her daughter, Judy Jennette of East Haven. "It was summertime, late in the evening, and her front door was open. We were talking when a possum came waddling in. I said, 'Mom there's a possum in your house.' She replied, 'Yes, I know.
