No matter what happens in the next couple of weeks -- whether Brett Favre returns to play with the Green Bay Packers or another NFL team, or decides he doesn't really want to come back after all - - Aaron Rodgers will do everything he can to keep the uncertainty from affecting him. Rodgers, Favre's backup for three seasons, spoke for the first time publicly about Favre's possible return during a conference call with reporters Wednesday morning in anticipation of the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

STATELINE, Nev. (AP) - Donald Trump is a billionaire real estate developer with a hot TV show, but that doesn't make him master of the golf course. Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong thinks keeping the ball in the fairway at Lake Tahoe will prove as challenging as any climb up the Pyrenees. The 17th annual American Century Celebrity Golf Championship begins this week at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Nevada, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation will be one of the charity beneficiaries of the three-day tournament.
Bills coach Dick Jauron was tied for 17th place and quarterback Trent Edwards was tied for 32nd after the first round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident last month, will play in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, which begins next Friday in Lake Tahoe, Nev., tournament officials confirmed. It will be Roethlisberger's second golf outing since undergoing seven hours of facial reconstructive surgery after he slammed his motorcycle into an automobile that turned left in front of him near the Armstrong Tunnel on June 12. Roethlisberger played last week in the Mellon Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier.
