The Williamsville Central School District needs to eliminate an estimated $5.5 million from next year's budget to make ends meet, so Superintendent Scott Martzloff introduced $10.9 million in potential district cuts Tuesday that read like catalog of schoolhouse nightmares.

Fredonia Central School District is ready to talk with interested area school districts about sharing services, centralization or the idea of a regional high school, Superintendent Paul DiFonzo said at Tuesday's School Board meeting.
State Sen. Catharine Young, R-Olean, is working on proposed legislation that would allow the creation of regional high schools. DiFonzo said the legislation could be passed later this month and Fredonia would consider talking with other area school districts about regionalization.
