• Hotel to Be Sold at Public Auction

It looks like a major hotel and convention center in the area will be sold at a sheriff's sale later this summer. According to court documents, Platteville's Governor Dodge Hotel and Convention Center, also known as Point Motel Inc., owes more than $1.7 million on its mortgage to the First National Bank of Platte-ville. In May, First National was able to obtain a judgement against the motel. The judgement said the motel's mortgaged property and collateral will be sold at a public auction any time
