BOSTON (HedgeWorld.com) - The Indian wealth management business has moved from safeguarding wealth to growing wealth, a recent report from Boston-based research and consultancy firm Celent LLC suggested. And with the wealth management industry growing at 30% per year and expected to reach $1 trillion of assets under management within the next five years, fund managers and service providers will need to take note.
The report, titled "Overview of the Indian Wealth Management Market," found that the bulk of these assets will be found among mass market households, which number around 12 million and have an investable surplus of between $5,000 and $25,000; mass affluent households, numbering 800,000 with an investment surplus of between $25,000 and $125,000; and super-affluent households, wh...

BOSTON (HedgeWorld.com) - The number of affluent and wealthy individuals in North America is projected to grow by 24% over the next three years, and that growth is expected to change the relationships between advisors and clients, according to a report from Celent LLC.

BOSTON (HedgeWorld.com) - Celent LLC has completed an analysis of dark liquidity pools in Europe, Canada and Japan that suggests that while there is room for the spread of this way of trading outside of the United States, there are obstacles as well.
Dark pools are blind book markets, which help traders limit market impact when trading large blocks of securities. This type of trade, or liquidity, had its inception in the United States and caught on here to such an extent that broker- and exchange- sponsored dark liquidity pools now account for approximately 7% to 10% of U.S. equities share volume.
