To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, WQXR-FM (105.9) will air several specials.
At 7 tonight, WQXR will present "Music of Reflection and Resilience: The Cathedral Choir of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine," the choir's first public performance under the direction of Kent Tritle, at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, WQXR's live event venue. Musical selections will include a cappella and accompanied works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Tallis, as well as "The Best Beloved," a composition by Trinity Church choir member Chris DeBlasio. A live video webcast of the performance will be streamed at wqxr.org.

Vanessa Redgrave has rescheduled her benefit performance of the stage version of "The Year of Magical Thinking" at New York's Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.
Cathedral spokesman Jonathan Korzen says the performance will be held Oct. 26 as a benefit for the United Nations Children's Fund and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which provide help for the children of Gaza and southern Israel.

The annual Holy Name Hospital Founders Ball will take place on Saturday at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City. NEW YORK - A female professor led an Islamic prayer service Friday with men in the congregation despite sharp criticism from Muslim religious leaders in the Middle East who complained that it violated centuries of tradition.
Amina Wadud, a professor of Islamic studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, led the service at Synod House at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, an Anglican church in Manhattan.
