  • WASHINGTON (HedgeWorld.com) - Washington-based private equity giant The Carlyle Group announced on Monday [April 21] that it closed a $450 million collateralized loan obligation backed by high- yielding leveraged loan assets, in a sign that the collateralized debt obligation and CLO markets may be turning toward a slow yet notable recovery. The new CLO product, called Carlyle Credit Partners Financing I Ltd., is the firm's 10th CLO to be managed by the U.S. leveraged finance team at Carlyle. In Europe, Carlyle manages seven CLO funds including a credit opportunity fund, a low levered fund and a synthetic fund.
