LONDON - A British police inquiry released today concluded that the deaths of Princess Diana and her boyfriend in a 1997 Paris car crash were a "tragic accident" and that allegations of murder are unfounded.
The report also said Diana was not pregnant, that she was not engaged to marry Dodi Fayed, and that their chauffeur was drunk and driving at more than 60 mph - twice the speed limit - when their car crashed while being chased by photographers.

Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta has been sued by a Rochester woman for injuries allegedly suffered during a 2008 car accident, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports.
The suit, filed in State Supreme Court in Chili, alleges that Barbara A. Yatteau suffered "injuries in and to the body which are permanent in nature and has or may be caused to suffer loss in excess of basic economic loss" because of an April 10, 2008, collision that occurred due to the "negligent, careless and/or reckless manner" in which Kaleta was driving.

A Vancouver 27-year-old was detained by several citizens Friday night when he allegedly tried to flee from a four-car accident investigators say he caused.
According to a Vancouver police news release, Brandon Frailey, 27, was driving a 2002 Acura 3.5 RL sedan east on the state Highway 500 exit ramp toward Northeast 112th Avenue. Frailey failed to stop the car at the traffic signal, and, at about 8:30 p.m., crossed the southbound lanes and struck a traffic island.

Police have arrested a Charleston man and say they plan to arrest another in connection with a fatal car crash last week that the two men did not report until 40 minutes after it happened.
Police on Thursday arrested Larry Alan McCoy II, 32, and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality, said Charleston police Cpl. Shawn Williams.
