Greensburg voters selecting a mayor on Tuesday will choose between a familiar candidate with lifelong ties to the community and a candidate advocating change and ending the "good old boy" system.
Democrat Ron Silvis, 68, a former councilman who served in the 1970s and '80s, and Republican Kathleen McCormick, 57, a council member, are battling to succeed Democrat Karl Eisaman. He will not seek re-election after 16 years in office.

Election issues continued in Wilkinsburg as district judge candidate Marc Taiani asked a judge to remove poll workers because he claimed they made derogatory comments about him and were supporting his opponent, District Judge Kim Hoots.
Common Pleas Judge Tom Flaherty did not remove the workers but issued a court order that a sheriff's deputy delivered to two Wilkinsburg precincts that states that poll workers must refrain from discussing any candidates in either a positive or negative light.
