Attempt to smuggle arms brings 45-day sentence
FORT ERIE, Ont. -- A 54-year-old man was sentenced to 45 days in jail for trying to smuggle weapons over the Peace Bridge into Canada last Nov. 28, the Canada Border Services Agency reported.

CALAIS - The international border crossing between downtown Calais and St. Stephen, New Brunswick, was closed for about nine hours Sunday night and early Monday morning at the request of the Canada Border Services Agency.
