In the law enforcement version adapted by the Canadian Army and FLETC multiple players (i.e. actual tactical officers in front of an equipped computer) can join and participate in customized simulations utilizing internal networks or Internet connections. Many tactical teams utilize wearable cameras, and many mounted bike officers, without the benefit of a vehicle to store video equipment, frequently wear small body cameras to record their contacts. Video recorded from these devices can be stored on micro drives or solid state memory carried on law enforcement personnel themselves or sent wirelessly to be stored in their patrol vehicles.

Studies of the past twenty years show that news cameras in courtrooms allow the public to view how the legal system operates. Cameras also carry out the democratic goal of journalism and do not interfere with the legal process. Arguments against cameras in courtrooms are inaccurate.

The use of cameras in the courtroom has a prejudicial influence on the judicial process which then becomes increasingly political and less judicial. The bar has always been ambivalent about television coverage of trials despite their surge in popularity with the public. It is not yet clear how media coverage of the O.J. Simpson trial will influence state courts' determination of the television coverage matter. Only four states have an absolute ban and television coverage has had ambivalent appeal in the federal courts. Cameras in the courtroom upset judicial neutrality and the print media satisfy the public's right to know. An extensive statutory appendix is given.
