Cocaine valued at $1.8 million was seized from a Mexican cartel and two men were arrested when state agents and police busted a pre- arranged drug sale Thursday in a Colton hotel parking lot.
The arrests and seizure of 18.5 kilos of cocaine were part of a California Department of Justice operation that targeted the Sinaloa cartel based in Baja California, which distributes cocaine throughout Southern California, according to a DOJ statement.

Skeletal remains found scattered in the desert near Baker in 1971 have been identified through DNA evidence as belonging to Betty Walraven, an Orange County woman who was believed to have been killed about 25 years earlier, officials said Friday.
Biological samples from the unidentified remains were sent in December 2005 to the California Department of Justice DNA laboratory in Richmond for processing, according to San Bernardino County coroner's officials.
