RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- California Baptist University in Riverside will host two one-week summer academic camps in July, for middle schoolers and high school freshmen interested in graphic design and engineering. The daytime camps, with sessions held weekdays, will engage children in hands- on projects that make learning concepts about these career fields fun and accessible.
The programs, called "Discovery University," are the first to be launched by the Christian college and are designed and led by expert CBU professors assisted by skilled CBU students.

LOS ANGELES - Three people, including a former Glendora High cheerleading coach, were killed and more than a dozen were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving California Baptist University of Riverside athletes and coaches on a highway south of Bishop, officials said today.
Three Ford vans carrying members of the Cal Baptist cross- country team were heading northbound, in a line, one after the other, when the crash occurred five miles south of Bishop at 8:24 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol Officer Dennis Cleland said.
