AUBURN -- The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College is offering a workshop on effective business writing. Tips for Making Your Business Writing More Effective will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11. The cost of the workshop is $149 and includes materials. Deadline to register is May 4.

AUBURN - The Central Maine Community College Corporate and Community Services Department is offering business writing from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, April 3 and 10. The cost of the class is $115 and includes materials. In the class, Ken O'Quinn, a corporate writing coach, will take students through the writing process to help them understand the finer points of good business communication. Students will gain the confidence to write with clarity and efficiency.
A collaboration of a few of the most influential individuals in the Long Island business community met today at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma - the group's second official meeting, and the first to really delve into the collective issues facing each one.
