He used management skills honed as an officer in the Indian Army, and as a computer consultant to Wall Street financial companies, to build the company. Data Inc., based in Montvale, provides computer staffing, both in this country and overseas, as well as programming, and other technology services for Fortune 500 companies, including such clients as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mercedes-Benz and UPS. It has annual revenue of more than $70 million. The company also sells software, including a new product, the Global Project Management Tool, which allows businesses t...
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. said Wednesday it plans to hire 250 additional employees for its Colorado Springs call center by year's end to help a major wireless carrier meet increased customer demand. The center at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road is hiring customer service representatives and technical support agents and will begin four-week training classes on Tuesday, said Tammy Boucher, a division vice president in the Business Process Solutions Group of Dallas-based ACS. The jobs pay "competitive wages" and include benefits ranging from medical, dental, life and vision coverage as well as tuition reimbursement, she said. Potential employees can apply online at www.acs-inc.com or at the call center during business hours.
Recertification will allow Anderson to keep state sales and personal income taxes generated within its borders for park reinvestment and qualify the center for future state grant money. The Flagship Enterprise Center aims to apply their expertise toward innovations needed by the modem auto industry, such as clean and safe battery power for hybrid electric cars. The city has managed to win several competitive business deals to bolster that total - including a call center of Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services Inc., whose 200-person work force is expected to grow past 500, and a new Nestle advanced manufacturing plant that plans to hire 350.
NEW YORK -- Xerox Corp. said Monday it will buy Affiliated Computer Services Inc. for about $6.4 billion in cash and stock, joining the expensive race among technology companies to broaden their offerings. Xerox said the deal will create a $22 billion business that combines Xerox's copiers, printers and document management services with the "business process outsourcing" of Dallas-based ACS. Outsourcers like ACS take on tasks for other companies, such as helping to manage payroll or run health care plans.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. which operates an inbound call center on the Verizon campus in Colorado Springs and employs 600 people, has added a new component to its broader list of corporate client services. The company's existing Human Capital Management Solutions division currently provides human resources services to more than 4 million employees and retirees in more than 80 countries worldwide in 20 languages.
