First Financial Bancorp plans to close eight area bank branches June 29, including previously reported branch closings in Lebanon and Lewisburg.
The Cincinnati-based banking company said Wednesday in its first- quarter earnings release nine total locations would close, eight of which are in Ohio and one in Indiana. Branches in Dayton, Centerville, Springboro, Mason and the Cincinnati area are among those to be closed.

Federated Department Stores Inc. will close five Lord & Taylor stores, convert another into a Macy's and shut a Strawbridge's in Philadelphia, eliminating 925 jobs.
The Lord & Taylor closings will begin in late July or August and include two stores in St. Louis, and one each in Newark, Del.; Dearborn, Mich.; and Peabody, Mass. The Lord & Taylor in Philadelphia will become a Macy's in August and the Strawbridge's there will close in June, Cincinnati-based Federated said in a statement Friday.
