My good friend Charlie Cook rode on the backs of bulls. He said this was fun. I never believed him. Let me explain:
CHEYENNE -- The first Bucks for the Cure bull riding event was held Saturday to raise money for Wyoming breast cancer victims. Cancer survivors and supporters visited Terry Bison Ranch along with rodeo enthusiasts to enjoy a day of bull riding, auctions, fireworks and music.
BLOOMINGTON - A 17-year-old remained hospitalized Monday because of injuries suffered during a bull-riding event Saturday in Bloomington. But the boy's mother said she expects her son will ride again.
Lazy E Arena has spent many years as a major player in the bull- riding business, but there recently was a bit of a gap that needed to be filled. Bullnanza, an event that usually draws the best cowboys in the sport, originated at Lazy E two decades ago but left in 2005.
Nearly 16,000 people packed 1st Mariner Arena over the weekend to watch professional cowboys do their best to stay on top of 1,500- pound bulls with names like "Vampire," "High Test" and "Booger Butt" doing their best to dislodge them. Three million pounds of dirt, spread 18 inches thick, was trucked in to transform the downtown facility into a bull-riding arena for the 10th stop of the Built Ford Tough Series, the Professional Bull Riders Inc.'s premier event. According to the league, an estimated 15,800 tickets were sold for the two-night event, with prices ranging from $20 to $100 for "in the dirt" seats.

Donohue kept to the script and dodged the eager cowboy's query. Three weeks later, Wiess is still looking for a straight answer. The feisty, cursing cowboy says he has lined up several bull contractors who will donate their animals, including matador Dennis C. Borba, the bull stunt coordinator for Jackass Number Two. The Salinas resident and owner of Showtime Bucking Bulls wants to call the event Hometown Pride Bull Riding: "Whatever happened to our hometown pride? Where did it go? Now people say, 'Where you are from?' You say, '[Salinas].' They say, 'That's Shooterville.' Something needs to be done, not all this happy bullsh*t about we'll wait f...

LAS VEGAS -- Bull riding champion Matt Austin broke Ty Murray's season money record Sunday, earning $12,368 for a second-place finish in the final round of the National Finals Rodeo to push his total to $320,765. Austin, from Wills Point, Texas, broke the record of $297,896 that Murray set in three events in 1993.
Downtown will have some very hostile visitors this weekend. Beginning today and running through Sunday, the Ford Center will host the PBR's Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Championship.
