The clock is ticking for Walmart to submit building plans for a proposed store at 2400 Seneca St. in West Seneca before the town's approval expires next month.
Walmart last year announced a plan to build a supercenter on the site of a former Ames plaza on the border of Buffalo and secured site-plan approval from the town for construction.

BLOOMINGTON - An advisory board is recommending that fire sprinkler systems be installed in all new homes starting in 2013, assuming the town of Normal does the same.
If aldermen in January approve a recommendation issued Tuesday by the Bloomington Construction Board of Appeals, all new home building plans would include a sprinkler system as suggested in the 2009 International Building Code.

Plans to erect an apartment building in Palisades Park are moving forward after a Texas investor bought a parcel of land from a bankruptcy proceeding.
Earlier this month, the 6.5-acre undeveloped parcel was sold for $1.8 million in federal Bankruptcy Court in Newark to Berkeley Palisades Park LLC, which is based in Austin, Texas.
