  • DETROIT, March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rollovers are among the rarest of vehicle crashes, but the 2011 Buick Enclave still provides maximum protection against them. High-tech sensors designed to predict rollovers and help protect vehicle occupants before a crash occurs are part of the standard comprehensive safety package on the 2011 Enclave, recipient of NHTSA's highest five-star overall vehicle safety score and recently awarded a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

  • The design is striking. Enclave's fluid lines and curved surfaces create the illusion of a smaller vehicle. Other Buick design cues include a waterfall grille - with a bold tri-shield emblem - and V-shaped portholes. High-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps are standard. For enhanced illumination, especially while cornering, Enclave offers available articulating headlamps. Buick Enclave receives a more powerful, more sophisticated, fuel-efficient engine for 2009. The 3.6L direct injection V-6 WT engine delivers a SAE-certified 288 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. There is no driver intervention required; the system automatically decides how to distribute torque based upon vehicle speed, throttle position and individual wheel slip. The AWD system is integrated with Enclave's electro...

  • The Enclave's safety ratings are admirable. The airbag system includes dual frontal airbags, head curtain sided airbags and front side impact airbags with a 5-star driver and passenger rating, five-star side crash and rear ser rating and four-0star government rollover rating. The enclave cabin is luxuriously appointed and spacious. It features leather seating surfaces with cooled and heated seats for driver and passenger. The driver's side comes with 8-way power seats with memory and the passenger's side has 4-way power seats. It's go a full array of standard features including a mahogany wood and leather steering wheel (cool), AM/FM/XM/CD radio with MP3 capability and 6-speaker sound, Bluetooth/mobile phone capability, USB port, rear seat audio controls, and 3-row seating for up to eig...

  • On the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Tiger Woods, the famous golfer and long-time Buick partner, introduced the Buick Enclave at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif. The Enclave is an all-new 2008 luxury crossover SUV and the first in the segment for Buick. The concept vehicle for the Enclave debuted at the auto show in Detroit in January and we now see that the exterior design of the production version is practically the same as that of the concept. The Enclave has such legendary design cues as the black chrome waterfall grille (with a bold tri-shield emblem) and portholes. The grille marks the new styling that we will see in future Buicks, while the portholes are similar to those on the new Lucerne. They form a V-shape as they flow from the grille to the hood.

  • General Motors is voluntarily recalling 243,403 vehicles worldwide to inspect second-row seatbelts that may not latch. The recall includes the 2009-2010 models of the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook. The recall affects mainly vehicles sold in the United States, along with several thousand exported vehicles in Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, China and other countries.

  • When General Motors announced its trio of new, three-seat crossover utility vehicles for the 2007 model years, the official word was that the Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia were essentially the same, though trimmed for different groups of customers. The way different version was to come as the 2008 Buick Enclave, the posh luxury version of the trio. Now it's here, and the advance notices turn out to be more or less correct.

  • General Motors has based three "Crossover" vehicles on the same basic platform, but with varying levels of appointments and amenities. Each of the three CUVs was designed to appeal to consumers with different needs, desires and budget constraints. On the first level is the Saturn Outlook, whose intent is to cater to families with a heightened degree of functionality requirements and a lesser budget flexibility.

  • ST. LOUIS - General Motors executives have been telling us for years that Buick had a bright future that grew out of a glorious past when its cars were powerful, luxurious and desirable. It's been a long wait, but the 2008 Enclave delivers on GM's boasts. The Enclave, a fuel-efficient, six- or eight-seat car-based SUV, immediately moves to the head of a competitive class of hot- selling vehicles including the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, Lexus RX 350 and Volvo XC90. The Enclave has the best fuel economy in the bunch.

  • Pack up the family in Buick's newest model and head out on a summer road trip. Up to eight people can ride comfortably inside the quiet and roomy interior of the Enclave. No one will miss the passing scenery because seats in this crossover sport utility vehicle sit up nicely from the pavement.
