Senesco Technologies Inc. of New Brunswick has closed on an additional $1.5 million of financing with YA Global Investments, and plans to use the money to continue its cancer research. Senesco has now closed on $3 million of the $5 million in financing it arranged through YA Global.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (HedgeWorld.com) - Connotate Technologies Inc., creator of the "Information Agent Suite" designed to help investors and asset managers glean insights and intelligence from Internet sources, announced that it has closed a series C round of financing with Goldman Sachs. It didn't say how much money was involved.
Michael Sanders, a managing director at GS, will join Connotate's board of directors, and the two firms will work together in marketing Connotate's suite to Goldman's global investor client base.

DAYTON -- Standard Register on Tuesday announced the sale of its InSystems subsidiary to Whitehall Technologies Inc., based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. InSystems specializes in document automation for insurance and financial services companies. The business was founded in 1989.
Privately held Whitehall provides similar document services.

Golubieski, president of Foundation Venture Capital Group, LLC, (FVCG) a New Jersey Health Foundation affiliate, announced that Snowdon Inc., a company in which FVCG has invested, was awarded a new three-year contract by the Department of Defense (DoD) Program, Transformational Medical Technologies (TMT).
Under this new Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) contract, Snowdon may receive up to $8.2 million to support development efforts for the discovery and preclinical development of novel medical treatments to combat biowarfare pathogens.
