  • Ship is home, not hotel RE "A FRUGAL FLEET to the rescue," Michael E. O'Hanlon column, Nov. 16: It amazes me that people in think tanks such as O'Hanlon at the Brookings Institute surmise they have the solution for efficiency in the Navy. What do we expect from something that works like a video game? Indeed, with the drones being used in "discrete military operations" (without any declaration of war) the endless war against terror could be waged anywhere and at any time.

(Where does that leave Harry Truman?) Hillary Rodham Clinton went out of her way to pick a fight with Israel in the name of feminist principle. The secretary of state thought she was speaking "just among us girls" behind closed doors at the left-leaning Brookings Institute, but her remarks nevertheless made headlines in the Israeli newspapers.
