Brookfield - Plans to renovate and expand Brookfield Central and East high schools drew support Thursday night from some local elected officials, including Brookfield Mayor Jeff Speaker. Elected officials representing the four communities in Elmbrook School District's boundaries - Brookfield, Elm Grove, New Berlin and the Town of Brookfield - were invited to attend a focus group to learn about and offer feedback on the building plans.

Brookfield - The Elmbrook School District should implement a districtwide 4-year-old kindergarten program in partnership with local community child care centers and preschools, a School Board committee recommended Tuesday night. Elmbrook started a pilot 4-K program this fall of two sections with 20 children each, while a study committee reviewed the feasibility of creating a permanent program.
