An Upland/Rancho Cucamonga pop-rock quartet placed third at a regional Battle of the Bands competition on Monday, securing a spot in a national contest to be held later this year. Silent Age, whose members are lead singer Kim Atterbury, 14, of Rancho Cucamonga; bass player Brian McNamara, 14, of Upland; drummer Anthony Musolino, 19, and guitarist Nik Musolino, 17, both of Rancho Cucamonga, performed at B.B. King's Blues Club at Universal CityWalk in Universal City. They competed against three other bands for the regional title.
