This weeks guest pro is Brian Lawton, sales lead in the golf department at Dicks Sporting Goods in Bangor. He is a former winner of the Paul Bunyan Amateur and Greater Bangor Open golf tournaments.

• Oklahoma Democrats Turning Focus to Education

Though the Legislature's Republican leadership said they will focus on workers' compensation and ways to reduce the state income tax during the next legislative session, state Democrats counter that the 2013 legislative session should be the year of education. Last week Senate Pro Tempore Brian Bingman, R-Sapulpa, and House Speaker T.W. Shannon, R-Lawton, said they would use the upcoming legislative session to focus on changes in workers' compensation laws and would look at new ways to reduce the state's income tax. The pair made the announcement during a public affairs luncheon sponsored by the State Chamber of Oklahoma.
