ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Breaking Benjamin is evidently broken, at least for now. The platinum-selling rock band from northeastern Pennsylvania is mired in a legal dispute over what its founder and lead singer, Benjamin Burnley, called an unauthorized remix of one of the band's hit songs, "Blow Me Away.
WANT TO GO? Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace With Flyleaf WHEN: 7 p.m. Feb. 2 WHERE: Big Sandy Superstore Arena, Huntington TICKETS: $39.75 INFO: www.ticketmaster.com or call 1-800-745-3000 Breaking Benjamin's Aaron Fink is very much in the twilight world of the tour. It's been like that for days. One town runs into the next town runs into the next town. He's not entirely sure where he's going, just where he's been.
Breaking Benjamin has seen a lot of the good since they rose from northeastern Pennsylvania's post grunge/alt-metal music scene in 2001 - not the least of which are a third album, "Phobia," released in August, that hit No. 2 on Billboard's album chart, and a headlining tour last fall. But the Wilkes-Barre-based band has also seen some of the bad: Near the end of that tour, five minutes before a Nov. 20 show in Corpus Christi, Texas, singer/frontman Benjamin Burnley became severely dizzy and dehydrated and unable to perform, then had to be briefly hospitalized.
WHO: Breaking Benjamin with Theory of a Deadman and the Exies. WHAT: Alternative rock-metal.
Kelsie Nowlin Small, by many lights, is a normal 13-year-old girl. Her favorite band is Breaking Benjamin. She loves to play video games -- especially Mario -- on the family's Wii. And the movie "Poltergeist" totally freaks her out. "It's kind of creepy," she said.

TROTWOOD -- Hara Arena got resoundingly "Smacked" Tuesday night. And that was a good thing for the crowd filling the hall on Halloween to attend the hard-rock triple bill featuring opening act HourCast, the hotly exploding Breaking Benjamin and the platinum- selling headline group Godsmack.
