CENTERVILLE -- The Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold a grand opening of its newly-completed Scout store at 380 E. Pages Lane, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This store will serve the more than 10,000 Scouts and leaders in Davis County. WHITTIER -- Joe Corey, one of Whittier's biggest boosters, will be honored Thursday by the Rio Hondo District of the Boy Scouts of America as a "Good Scout' for his service to the community and its youth. A former clothing store owner now in real estate and property management, Corey has held just about every office available in the Whittier Host Lions Club. He also has taken an active support role in community organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier and the Intercommunity Blind Center.
