WOOSTER -- Eugene Allen "Gene" Buehler, 82, peacefully passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in New Philadelphia on April 6, 1929, to Ed and Helen Buehler. In 1932, the family moved to Wooster and opened their second Buehler's Market location. Gene graduated from Wooster High School in 1947. He then attended Bowling Green State University where he met and married the love of his life, Joan Marie Elmore, his wife of 61 years who survives him.
