It is further agreed that the waters herein defined as boundary waters and waters flowing across the boundary shall not be polluted on either side to the injury of health or property on the other. -- From Article IV of the Boundary Waters Treaty, signed by Canada and the United States in 1909.
Fishing guide Paul Center of Angling Adventures had some special clients recently, his wife and daughter, when the family from Normal headed north to Snowbank Lake at the entrance to Boundary Waters, Minn. NORMAL - The Rev. Tim Schrag of Normal Mennonite Church was blessed with dandy smallmouth bass when he traveled to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness near Ely, Minn., over the Memorial Day holiday with his son, Andy. They were accompanied by friends Steve Stenger and his son, Brian, and joined by an old seminary friend, the Rev. Tim Lehman, who lives in Ohio and guides at BWCAW as a pastime.
